Squats are hated by most who do them, due to the sheer amount of physical effort required to do them. Doing a squat is comparable to dropping a nuclear bomb on your central nervous system. You’re entire body will scream and beg you to stop. But you know better. You know that your body is crying pain now, but tomorrow, you’ll be feeling like a million bucks.

Your heart will thank you, your core will thank you, and your muscles will be stronger than ever. That is the power of the squat. Squatting for glute (butt) training is incredibly under practiced. Why, we can’t be sure, because squatting builds tight, sexy butt’s like there’s no tomorrow. The best part about squatting for your glutes is that you’ll also be working the rest of your body at the same time. The squat recruits more than 150 muscles, and you’ll feel each and every single one of them getting worked! The most important part about squatting is to remember: Form is everything. Poor form will lead to injuries.

Another way to work your glutes to build your butt into a tight, sexy thing of beauty, is to do lunges. Lunges are nowhere near as difficult as the squat, but they still target your quad’s and your glute’s. Lunging can be done with dumbbells, or with bodyweight. If you’re having a hard time using dumbbells, get used to lunging with just your bodyweight. The goal is to get stronger, leaner, and sexier. Don’t use weights yet, if it just doesn’t feel “right”.

The biggest, most important part about glute training is diet. You need to eat healthy, and you need to eat a lot. You’re going to be eating five to six meals a day, all of which will be loaded with clean calories and protein. No more empty carbohydrates, no more empty unhealthy calories. If you’re going to be a fitness goddess, you need to eat like one! You’re going to be dining on chicken breast, fish, lean red meat, healthy (that is, unsalted) nuts, as well as eggs and egg whites. Be creative, instead of eating five hard boiled eggs for breakfast, have an omelet! Instead of eating cottage cheese in a bowl, mix it with tuna and have a glass of no-sugar-added orange juice! Being creative is the best way to avoid getting sick of a certain type of food.

Any body building is going to be 30% training and 70% diet. You want to eat a lot, enough to build muscle, but not so much that you also gain noticeable amounts of body fat at the same time. It’s a perfect balance that isn’t easy to achieve, but it pays off – You’ll feel amazing, look amazing, and be sexy as all get out!
